DECEMBER TBD, 2024 (TENTATIVE-SATURDAY): GFLUG MEMBER-ONLY OPPORTUNITY
GFLUG members will be venturing to their local LEGO retail store. Many of the GFLUG members will be meeting a store followed by a lunch get-together and meeting.
**2025 EVENTS**
January 10-12, 2025 (Event Postponed/Cancelled): Brick Fest Live-Miami
Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition Center, Miami, FL
GFLUG Members will be displaying City/Trains, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Superhero, Mosaics, and Star Wars themed MOC's at this new event in South Florida. This will be our first return to Brick Fest Live since the 2022 Brick Fest Live Tampa event. We plan on having a great time. Come see us and say Hi!
January 17-19, 2025: CENTRAL FLORIDA COMIC CONVENTION
RP Funding Center, Lakeland, FL
GFLUG Members will be displaying Sci-fi, Fantasy, Superhero, Mosaics, and Star Wars themed MOC's at the largest Sci-fi/Fantasy convention in Central Florida. This will be our first time at this event and we plan on having a great time. Come see us and say Hi!
Central Florida Comic Con is a celebration of comics, toys, TV, film, art, cosplay, games, and all things nerdy.
FEBRUARY 1, 2025: 13th Annual planes trains & automobiles
Plant City Airport, Plant City, FL
"Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is a beloved one-day community event featuring a wide variety of activities geared towards families each year at the Plant City Airport. Featured highlights will be numerous aircraft on display, a car show, and operating model train layouts. First responder vehicles and personnel along with train safety vehicles and equipment will also be in the lineup.
There will be many hands-on stations for kids, including STEM education exhibits and flight simulators from the Aerospace Center for Excellence, Young Eagles discovery flights conducted by our local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter, Scout merit badge opportunities, a pinewood derby, and many other activities. Younger children will enjoy inflatable bounce houses and other fun adventures just for them! Food trucks and local vendor displays will also be part of the lineup."
GFLUG will be in attendance with a big Train, Airplane and Automobile Display.
FEBRUARY 6-9th, 2025: MEGACON ORLANDO
Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL
GFLUG Members will be displaying Sci-fi, Fantasy, Superhero, Mosaics, and Star Wars themed MOC's at the largest Sci-fi/Fantasy convention in Florida.
MEGACON Orlando is the South East’s largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event, attracting over 160,000+ fans each year across four big days.
FEBRUARY 15-16, 2025: REAL RAILS TRAIN SHOW & SALE
Bradenton Area Convention Center, 1 Haben Blvd., Palmetto, FL
GFLUG will be in attendance with our LEGO train layout as one of the operating model train layouts at the area's largest train show.
March 22, 2025: LEGO afol exhibition at the library
Orange County Public Library,
101 East Central Blvd, Downtown Orlando, FL
GFLUG will be in attendance from 2pm-5pm with a selection of our LEGO MOC's and displays. We will also have a play brick area and color your own minifigure picture table. This event is open and free to the public.
MAY 17-18, 2025: JACKSONVILLE BRICK FAN EXPO
Prime F. Osborne III Convention Center, 1000 Water Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209
GFLUG Members will be displaying Sci-fi, Fantasy, Superhero, Mosaics, and Star Wars themed MOC's at the Jacksonville Brick Fan Fest Expo, a LEGO display and AFOL event.
The public hours will be on Saturday (10AM-5PM) and Sunday (10AM-4PM). They will be open on the Friday
for AFOL, vendors and guests move-in. There will be some AFOL activities on Friday afternoon and Saturday night. Sounds like we will have a good time.
MAY 10TH, 2025 (TENTATIVE): NATIONAL TRAIN DAY AT TAMPA'S UNION STATION
Tampa's Union Station, Tampa, FL
National train day is back for 2025 after a Station Renovation! Currently, it is slated as a Saturday only event. We'll be setting up our GFLUG train layout and celebrating the newly refurbished Baggage Car building, complete with new AC. More details are to follow.

AUGUST 22-24, 2025 (TENTATIVE): TAMPA BAY COMIC CONVENTION
GFLUG Members will be displaying Sci-fi, Fantasy, Superhero, Mosaics, and Star Wars themed MOC's at Tampa's premier Comic Convention at the Tampa Convention Center.
Tampa Bay Comic Convention is Tampa’s largest, true comic convention. Featured are exhibitors that cater to a wide-spectrum of interests including comic books, magazines, toys, games, Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, manga, cosplay, artwork, sketches and apparel. In addition, a roster of comic industry professionals, and comicdom-related celebrities are in attendance for attendees to meet and greet. As admission is kept reasonable for adults and FREE for children, the Tampa Bay Comic Convention is a family-friendly convention.
October 24-25th, 2025 (TENTATIVE): CENTRAL FLORIDA RAILWAY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

GFLUG has been invited to set up and operate a Lego Train Display inside the historic train station and museum. We will have a Halloween and Christmas themed LEGO Train displays. Friday night will be a special ticketed only event with costumes, candy, activities, and tours of the LEGO Halloween and Christmas themed operating LEGO Train display. Downtown Winter Garden will also be hosting Halloween activities on Saturday. So, it should be a fun event to attend, especially if you have kids wanting to dress in costume and have a good trick or treat time. Come have a LEGO-tastic time with us!
October, 2025 (TENTATIVE): Spooky Empires

GFLUG has been invited to set up our various "Spooky themed" LEGO MOC's and displays at their weekend event.

Spooky Empire has been delivering the best sights, sounds and screams to Halloween lovers since 2003. We feature an enormous room of vendors, a film and tattoo festival, music, celebrity speakers, and more to satiate even the most diehard aficionados of the spooky season!
