The Greater Florida LEGO Train Club returned to Hillsborough Community College's Plant City Campus for the 24th Annual Train Show put on by the H. B. Plant Railroad Historical Society. The venue was very nice, even though we were a little cramped setting up and taking down with two other events planned immediately before and after the train show. Robin W, Mark S, James B, Ondrew H and I all showed up to assemble a display that was roughly 30' x 40' in size. The layout was E-shaped with James and me on one side with houses and modular buildings, a large yard in the middle for displaying trains, and Mark and Robin on the other end with their shopping district. The show's attendance seemed to be about the same as previous years, and we had a constant flow of people who were excited to see the display. (pic. 1.)
The show marked a lot of debuts for MOCs, with James bringing out several new modular buildings, Robin bringing out his new shopping standard, David bringing his N&W; 611 Work-In-Progress and Peter Norman's Silver Meteor which is on loan for National Train Day in March. For those of you who missed it, I hope you can attend the show next year for a lot of fun!
